The concept of "Herbal bundles" originated from a woman named Lauren Hall. She owns a business called Spirits and Sawdust. Her specialty is practical magic for coexisting with ghosts, and she uses her skills to assist people in clearing their spaces of unwanted energies, whether supernatural or not. These are her own words, “Plant based magic is naturally protective.  Whether burning frankincense in a brazier, planting rosemary by a garden gate or storing heirlooms in a cedar chest, we intuitively reach for it when we need to hold space.  I bring dozens of herbs to every space clearing I perform, and often leave an herbal bundle behind with the home or business owner. Herbal bundles are fantastically multifunctional, serving as talismans, spells, shields, and tangible reminders of our own power.”
 
Sea Salt 
Salt can be a powerful tool for creating a protective boundary around your home. I prefer sea salt, but you can use table salt if that feels right for you. To charge the salt with your intention, fill a bowl or vessel and imagine white light flowing into it from above. You can also place crystals in the salt to charge them. Once the salt is charged, sprinkle it in a circle around the space you wish to protect. I prefer using sea salt around the outside perimeter of the home.
 
Black Salt 
Black Salt is crafted by combining food-grade charcoal and sea salt, mixed together in a mortar and pestle. You have the option to buy Black Salt or c create it yourself. I personally prefer making my own so that I can infuse it with my intentions during the mixing process. Both salt and charcoal are excellent for eliminating toxins. Black salt is especially useful indoors. Sprinkle a bit around the room and sweep it toward the door to clear away any lingering negative energy, or use it after someone with toxic energy has left the room.
 
Palo Santo Incense (3 sticks)
Originating from South American Indigenous traditions, "Palo Santo" means "holy wood." It is derived from the Bursar graveolens tree and was utilized by the Inca civilization to clear negative energy from a person's aura while infusing it with positivity.  Its scent  resembles fennel or licorice, reflecting the sweetness it imparts. Like sage, it effectively clears spaces while introducing positive vibrations. Palo Santo is available in stick form, typically a few inches long, allowing it to be used as an air writing tool to create words or protective symbols in smoke throughout your space.
 
Black Tourmaline (3 pieces)
A strong healer and protector, black tourmaline is particularly effective for blocking psychic attacks and negative thought patterns. It neutralizes negative energy and replaces it with neutrality. I keep three pieces of black tourmaline in my pocket whenever I enter a situation that makes me feel uneasy, nervous, or afraid.
